SA3 APARTMENT

This dated apartment needed strategic planning in order to update and transform it from a two bedroom, one bathroom to a two bedroom each with its own en suite.

 

With little storage, the apartment was awkwardly laid out with a soil pipe running directly through the large bay window area. The solution was to design functional living spaces while showcasing some of the beautiful features the building had to offer.

 

The soil pipe was relocated within a new stud wall and disguised at the bay window with a cleverly designed seating area, this added additional storage and seating to the apartment whilst allowing the original bay to become the focal point of the room. Bespoke oversized doors were designed for each room off the main hallway to add drama and a sense of grandeur. This was continued into the bedrooms with extra tall fitted wardrobes.

 

The apartment was lovingly and cleverly restored adding in a traditional cornice and ceiling rose to keep character running throughout. The end result was a boutique 'hotel style' apartment, with a minimalist design.
